A massive Oasis drone display has lit up Manchester skies ahead of the band’s five-night homecoming residency at Heaton Park.
The drone display showing Oasis’ icon logo appeared above Heaton Park on Thursday night (10th July), with many fans taking to social media to share photos and videos.
Oasis play their first Manchester concert since June 2009 at Heaton Park tonight (Friday 11th July) and the residency concludes on Sunday 20th July.
A hot weather alert has been issued to fans attending the first two concerts this weekend, with temperatures set to exceed 30° on both days.
A message from promoters SJM reads: ‘With a very hot weather forecast on both Friday and Saturday please stay hydrated, you will be permitted to bring a sealed bottle of water up to 500ml. This must be collapsible plastic. Solid plastic, metal etc containers will not be permitted on the grounds of safety. Bottles with broken seals will be emptied. There is free water to refill your bottle on site.
‘Wear sunscreen, you will be permitted to bring in a small bottle 200ml or under and protect yourself from the sun overall/wear a hat; we know the legendary bucket hat will be making an appearance, so you’ll fit right in! Look after yourself and those around you.’
Fans arriving at the Heaton Park tram stop on the Bee Network will be greeted by announcements voiced by Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
