Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds triumphed at their very special concert for Absolute Radio at O2 Academy Bournemouth back on Monday 31st July.
The intimate show at the 1,800-capacity O2 Academy sold out within minutes of going on sale, and it preceded Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds series of UK arena shows in December.
Introduced on stage by Absolute Radio’s Sarah Champion and Richie Firth, Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds band mates kicked off their set with their phenomenal single ‘Pretty Boy’, which is lifted from their critically lauded fourth studio album ‘Council Skies.’
New songs from ‘Council Skies’ dominated the first part of the set, before Noel Gallagher and co. unleashed their huge singles ‘AKA... What a Life!’ and ‘If I Had a Gun...’
The rest of the rapturously received concert featured incredible renditions of Oasis classics like ‘The Masterplan’, ‘Half the World Away’, ‘Little By Little’, ‘Live Forever’ and set closer ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger.’
