Noel Gallagher admits he snubbed Dave Grohl at Glasto: 'I haven't got time for that mob'
"I wish he'd wind his neck in"
Oasis lynchpin Noel Gallagher has admitted he refused to talk to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl at Glastonbury last month.
A day after wrapping up Foo Fighters’ UK tour at Birmingham Villa Park, Dave Grohl made a low-key visit to Worthy Farm on Friday 28th June to watch some bands, including LCD Soundsystem.
In a new interview, Noel Gallagher said he “bumped into” Dave Grohl at Glastonbury, and despite standing three feet away, he refused to engage with him.
“I did actually bump into Dave,” Noel told the Matt Morgan podcast. “He was about 3ft away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in.
“I would just like him to wind his f---ing neck in about Oasis. I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that f---ing mob any more. I haven’t got f--- all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”
Dave Grohl attended one of Liam Gallagher’s ‘Definitely Maybe’ shows at London’s The O2 in June and footage of him singing along to ‘Cigarettes and Alcohol’ in the audience went viral on social media.
Liam and Dave have been good friends for a number of decades, and Foo Fighters supported Oasis on their Don’t Believe The Truth Tour back in 2005.
Liam’s 2022 solo single ‘Everything’s Electric’ was co-written by Dave, and it also features drums from the rock icon.
