Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has revealed that he will be releasing a collection of solo recordings called 'Cryosleep' for Record Store Day 2021.

The limited edition picture disc contains 10-tracks, including solo versions of Muse songs 'Take A Bow', 'Unintended' and 'Guiding Light' and the single 'Tomorrow's World.'

The LP also features a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'Pray' from the Game of Thrones soundtrack and 'Fever' by supergroup The Jaded Hearts Club. 'Cryosleep' also comes with an exclusive songbook of sheet music and a gatefold LP.

The previously unreleased version of ‘Guiding Light’ is a particularly special addition to the LP because it was recorded on the guitar that Jeff Buckley used on his classic album ‘Grace’ and his most iconic song 'Hallelujah'.

Bellamy purchased the 1983 blonde USA Fender Telecaster last year and has said he intends to use it on future Muse albums.

The frontman confirmed in an interview at the end of last year that Muse had started working on a follow-up to their 2018 album, 'Simulation Theory' and that it would be inspired by "protests and chaos."

‘Cryosleep’ will be released on the 'Drop 2' date of 16th July as part of this year's double Record Store Day event.
