We’re extremely pleased to announce that Skunk Anansie rocker Skin, Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess and Travis vocalist Fran Healy are hosting a very special one-off show on Absolute Radio called Moving Moments with the new BMW X3.
Airing on Absolute Radio on Thursday 14th November and available to listen to on the Rayo app from Friday 15th November, Moving Moments sees Skin, Tim and Fran talk about their unique journeys through music from their humble beginnings to becoming hugely successful stars.
Skin and Tim Burgess, of course, already present their own acclaimed shows on Absolute Radio, while good friend of the station Fran Healy is an ever-engaging orator.
Throughout the course of the one-hour show, the trio each talk candidly about the pivotal music moments that made them who they are today.
Skin, Tim and Fran reveal their earliest musical memories and the first records they bought, while Skin shares the story of how singing in her youth helped her overcome her shyness.
Among the many meteoric career moments touched upon are the first standing ovation Skin received and Skunk Anansie’s debut on music institution Top of the Pops, and Tim reflecting on his first bands, his move to Los Angeles and The Charlatans recording their hugely underrated 2001 album ‘Wonderland’ in the city.
Elsewhere, Fran nostalgically looks back on when Travis’ music was first used on Eastenders, and he talks about their seismic breakthrough with blockbuster album ‘The Man Who’, and what it was like headlining Glastonbury alongside David Bowie in 2000.
