Linkin Park reunite with new line-up and announce new album and huge UK concert

After teasing a huge announcement in recent weeks, Linkin Park have officially reunited with a new line-up.

Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell and Joe Hahn are joined by Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara as co-vocalist in place of the late-great Chester Bennington, while Colin Brittain replaces Rob Bourdon as the band’s new drummer.

The new incarnation of Linkin Park will unleash their first album in more than seven years, ‘From Zero’, on Friday 15th November 2024 and it’s preceded by the lead single ‘The Emptiness Machine.’

Linkin Park’s return was announced with a live performance at RED Studios in Hollywood last night (5th September) that opened with ‘The Emptiness Machine’ and features a smorgasbord of classic tracks including ‘Numb’, ‘In The End’, ‘Crawling’ and the live debut of ‘Lost.’

The sextet have also announced the first six dates of the From Zero World Tour, which visits Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota.

The London concert takes place at The O2 on Tuesday 24th September 2024, and tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 13th September.

Commenting on Linkin Park’s new era, Mike Shinoda said: "Before Linkin Park, our first band name was XERO. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we're currently undertaking.

“Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”

Reflecting on the band’s new recruits, he adds: "The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created.

“We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we've made together. We're weaving together the sonic touchpoints we've been known for and still exploring new ones.”
