Liam Gallagher berates Oasis 'imposters' criticising his 'angelic' vocals at the boxing
He performed ahead of the Daniel Dubois / Anthony Joshua fight
Liam Gallagher has berated “imposters” who are allegedly threatening to abandon Oasis’ reunion tour after witnessing his vocal performance at the boxing on Saturday night (21st September).
Ahead of Daniel Dubois beating Anthony Joshua in the IBF heavyweight world title fight at London’s Wembley Stadium, Liam Gallagher took to the stage to belt out a trio of Oasis anthems – ‘Rock N Roll Star,’ ‘Supersonic’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ – in front of the 96,000-strong crowd.
Some armchair critics took to social media to slam Liam’s singing afterwards, with one joking they’re putting their Oasis reunion tour tickets up for sale.
Videos of the performance have also gone viral on social media.
In a typically defiant social media post, on Sunday Liam Gallagher hit out at those who were “crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night.”
He continued: “You ain’t real fans your just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year anyway.”
The UK and Ireland leg of Oasis reunion ‘Live in 25’ tour takes in 19 sold-out shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer.
The tour hit the headlines when certain ‘in demand’ tickets were sold at inflated prices due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model.
Consumer group Which? called on Oasis and Ticketmaster to "do the right thing" and refund fans hit by dynamic pricing.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) also launched an investigation into Ticketmaster over the sale.
