Kendal Calling adds over 100 acts to complete 2024 line-up

More than 100 acts have been added to the spectacular Kendal Calling 2024 line-up.
Headlined by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Paolo Nutini, The Streets, Paul Heaton with Rianne Downey, and Keane, Kendal Calling takes place at Lowther Deer Park in the heart of the Lake District from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th August 2024.

Joining the now complete line-up today (15th March) are Feeder, A Certain Ratio, The Snuts, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Lucy Spraggan, Charlotte Plank, Bilk, ADMT, Alfie Jukes, Future Utopia, HotWax, Antony Szmeriek, BBY, Lauren Hibberd, 86TVs, and loads more.
The Soapbox, which houses everything from stand-up comics to the wild and wonderful spectacle of Drag Bingo, will boast performances from the likes of Angelos Epithemiou, Olivia Lee, Jojo Sutherland, Micky P Kerr, Rich Wilson, Matt Bragg, Tadima Mahlunge, Danny McLoughlin, Phil Chapman, Dani Johns & Jenny Hart.
Elsewhere, the hyper eclectic Chai Wallahs venue will feature Tom McGuire & The Brassholes, Omega Nebula, The Allergies Live, Dr Meaker and Jamu, and more.
A Certain Ratio will not only be playing live at Tim Peak’s Diner, but their set will also be mixed, mastered and pressed into vinyl so quickly that it will be available to buy at Tim Peaks on the Sunday of Kendal Calling.
The legendary Manchester post-punk band, who will sign copies of the finished vinyl, said: “We've always wanted to play Kendal Calling, especially Tim Peaks Diner, so we are very excited!”
Absolute Radio’s very own Tim Burgess adds: “I say it every year but I genuinely think this might be our best line up ever - to have A Certain Ratio playing live and to be making their set into an album is dream come true stuff for me.”
Having received his Fellowship at The Royal Northern College of Music in November, Tim Burgess will also be collaborating with the Session Orchestra for a one off performance alongside Dexys Midnight Runners legend Helen O’Hara.
Elsewhere across the weekend at everyone’s favourite Diner, Dave Haslam will be hosting two book events as well as one of his legendary DJ sets on the Friday night which is not to be missed.
Two Headed Horse, who have been involved in the Help Us Help Us Bands project will be performing at Tim Peaks, as well as Leeds rockers Ultimate Thunder.
Acts already on the Kendal Calling line-up include Declan McKenna, The Reytons, Kate Nash, Pale Waves, Katy B, The Lottery Winners, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Heather Small, Lightning Seeds, The K’s, CMAT, The Hunna, The Pigeon Detectives, Peace, Sundara Karma, Red Rum Club, Royel Otis, Craig Charles, Shy FX, Phil Hartnoll of Orbital (DJ set), Glasvegas and a Gary Neville B2B DJ set with Tim Burgess.
