Ann Wilson is set to undergo an operation
Heart have cancelled their entire European tour, including their six UK arena shows with special guests Squeeze in July.
The band issued a statement last night (29th May) announcing that vocalist Ann Wilson is set to undergo an operation and will need six weeks’ recovery time.
"We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are cancelled,” Heart wrote.
"In late May, Ann Wilson will undergo a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks.
“Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon. Refunds will be available at point of purchase as applicable."
73-year-old Ann Wilson said in her own statement: "I'm okay! Please don't worry. I do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. It's certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann."
Heart’s first UK tour in eight years was due to open at London’s The O2 on Monday 1st July 2024 and visits Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds before concluding at Glasgow OVO Hydro on Tuesday 9th July 2024.
Ann Wilson’s short headline UK tour was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
