Happy Mondays' Bez confirmed for Dancing On Ice
"At the moment it’s more like Bambi on Ice, not Dancing On Ice"
Last updated 4th Oct 2021
Happy Mondays dancer and chief maracas shaker, Bez, is the second celebrity to be confirmed for the new series of Dancing On Ice.
The news was announced on Monday 4th October's episode of This Morning, with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield confirming the exciting news.
Bez told the hosts he's excited to get started with training for the show, but admitted he has no idea why bosses chose him after an 'awful audition'.
He said: “At the moment it’s more like Bambi on Ice, not Dancing On Ice. How I got picked I don’t know because I was absolutely awful at the audition but they must have seen some potential in me!
“I’m looking forward to learning a new skill and I can’t wait for the Christmas ice rinks again and I can get on there and really show off."
Bez has been no stranger to TV in recent months. The 57-year-old appeared alongside Shaun Ryder on Celebrity Gogglebox, as well as showing off his culinary skills on Celebrity MasterChef.
In July, Bez made his vocal musical debut on a house track called 'Flying Bus' with DJ Doorly.
