Guns N’ Roses have issued a short statement confirming their European tour won’t be going ahead this summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and co. were due to open the stadium trek in just nine days’ time at Passeio Martimo De Alges in Lisbon, Portugal.

The latest European leg of the Not In This Lifetime… Tour was also scheduled to call in at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday 29th May and Saturday 30th May, Glasgow Green on Thursday 25th June and Dublin’s Marlay Park on Saturday 27th June.

Other countries on the trek include Portugal, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic and The Netherlands.

“Sadly, the upcoming European tour will not be happening,” Guns N’ Roses said in their statement.

“Things are changing daily and we want to keep our fans, crew members and band safe. We are working hard with our promoters, venues and cities/countries on next steps and will make further announcements as soon as we can.

“Thank you for your patience, we will get through this together and look forward to seeing you all very soon…”

Promoters Live Nation are currently listing the status of Guns N’ Roses’ two London shows as ‘Rescheduled’.

Since it opened at The Troubadour in Hollywood in April 2016, Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime… Tour has already grossed $584.2 million and is the third-highest grossing concert tour of all time behind U2's 360° Tour and Ed Sheeran's ÷ Tour.

As part of the blockbuster tour, Guns N’ Roses played a night at Slane Castle in May 2017 and two shows at London Stadium in June 2017. They also headlined the Saturday night at Download Festival 2018.

Guns N' Roses' affected UK and Ireland shows are as follows:

MAY 2020

London Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Fri 29th

London Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Sat 30th

JUNE 2020
