Gary Numan announces 18-date spring 2022 UK & Ireland tour
He's taking new album 'Intruder' out on the road
Electronic rock god Gary Numan will embark on an extensive headline UK & Ireland tour in spring 2022 in support of his new studio album ‘Intruder.’
Released on Friday 21st May, ‘Intruder’ is Gary Numan’s follow-up album to 2017’s ‘Savage (Songs From A Broken World), which stormed straight in at number 2 in the UK.
Next year’s tour opens at Cardiff’s The Great Hall on Wednesday 28th April 2022 and includes a massive show at London’s The SSE Arena, Wembley on Saturday 7th May 2022 – Numan’s first show at the venue since he played three sold-out farewell concerts in 1981.
Following the conclusion of the UK & Ireland trek at Dublin Olympia Theatre on Tuesday 24th May 2022, Gary Numan will hit mainland Europe for shows in The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain and Belgium.
Gary Numan says: “To say I’ve missed touring would be a colossal understatement. It’s the life I chose when I was a teenager so not being able to tour the world has been very difficult. But now things are changing once again, and the next UK tour has been announced and I am as excited as I was when all this started for me a lifetime ago. More so in fact.
“I can’t wait to walk out onto a stage again, to hear the roar of the crowd, the ear shattering volume of the music, to be bathed in light and soak up that emotion. It’s what I’m here for.”
Tickets to Gary Numan’s UK tour go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9.30am on Friday 28th May 2021.
