These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

1 - ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS:

Entries to this Competition are restricted to one entry per person.

Entry to the Competition is available via phone by calling 0800 123 1215 which is a local rate telephone number

Calls will be charged at your standard network rate.

2 - COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN:

The competition will run from Monday 13th October 2025 to Friday 17th October 2025 inclusive (the “Listening Period”).

Each day during the Listening Period, an audio clue will be given on air between 06:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. This same clue will be repeated throughout that day on the Absolute Radio Network.

The audio clue will consist of a clip of a Foo Fighters song with one lyric missing or covered up (i.e. one word).Listeners will need to listen to the clue each day during the Listening Period and identify the missing lyric for each day.

On 17th October 2025, listeners will need to identify the 5-word phrase which consists of the 5 missing lyrics across the 5 days of the Listening Period.

Lines will open after the fifth and final clue is played out on Friday 17th October 2025, as specified below as the Entry Period.

Listeners will need to call in during the Entry Period and provide the 5-word phrase from the 5 audio clues across the week. The phrase must be an exact match.

1 entrant will be randomly selected to provide their answer to the 5-word phrase. If the phrase is an exact match, then they will win. If the entrant answers incorrectly, another entrant will be randomly selected to give their answer. This process will be repeated until an entrant provides the correct phrase and wins.

3 - ENTRY PERIOD:

Entries must be submitted on Friday 17th October 2025 when lines are open, some time between 06:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. (the “Entry Period”).

The specific opening and closing times of the Entry Period are subject to change and will be announced by the presenter on-air. Times announced on air supersede the time listed above.

Winner Announcement:

The winning caller will be the entrant who has provided the correct 5-word phrase and is invited on-air and. At this point, they will be announced by the presenter as the winner during the call. In the event of technical difficulties that prevent a winner being brought to air, the winner’s name will be read out on-air and they will be contacted by the production team within 48 hours of their name being read out.

If a winner cannot be contacted within 2 attempts, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

4 - ENTRY RESTRICTIONS:

Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including the Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.

Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.

Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.

As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.

5 - THE PRIZE:

1 winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):

Return flights for two people from mainland UK to Mexico City departing on 12th November and returning on 16th November

Return airport transfers for two people in Mexico City

4 nights’ 4-star hotel accommodation in Mexico City, based on two people sharing a double occupancy room with breakfast (check in on 12th November, check out on 16 November)

2 x standard tickets to Corona Capital music festival in Mexico City on the 14th November

£250 total spending money

Travel insurance for two people

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

The prize package is for two (2) adults aged at least 18 years or older, all of whom must be free to travel across the 12 to 16 November 2025;

Economy flights from mainland UK only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion; Excludes additional extras such as lounge access, oversized luggage and pre-selected seats;

Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner or companion/s’ home and UK departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion/s;

Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in Mexico City with check in on 12 November and check out on 16 November; Accommodation will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion;

A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card;

The prize excludes domestic ground transfers, meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package;

All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion;

Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. Travel insurance provided is a basic single trip policy and it is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over; Levels of coverage will vary and it is the winner and guest’s responsibility to ensure that the level of coverage offered is sufficient for their circumstances;

Spending money to the value of £250 is provided to the winner only and will be sent via bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account, recipient of funds must be aged 18 years or older;

Winner and guest must be free to travel across the 12 to 16 November 2025; no other travel dates will be provided;

Once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled;

Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; no cash alternative is available;

All travellers will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or additional insurance are the responsibility of the winner and guests;

If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package;

Prize must be taken in accordance with government guidelines and COVID-19 rules and restrictions in place at the time of travel, the arrangement and additional costs for any COVID-19 testing, quarantine accommodation or anything else that may be required is sole responsibility of the winner and guest;

Any personal data submitted by the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with Prize Provider’s privacy policy, which is accessible at: https://element-london.com/element-london-privacy-policy-travel-english/

Bauer Media takes no responsibility for any changes to the Corona Capital Festival line up or any amendments to the festival (including but not limited to cancellation). In such an event, an alternative prize of equivalent value will be provided.

OTHER CONDITIONS:

Data Protection. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. Intellectual Property And Consents. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.
