Mancunian purveyors of epic indie rock, Doves, have announced details of their sixth studio album ‘Constellations for the Lonely.’

Released on Friday 14th February 2025, ‘Constellations for the Lonely’ is the trio’s first album since 2020’s acclaimed ‘The Universal Want.’

Featuring 10 all-new Doves tracks, the new record is preceded by the stunning lead single ‘Renegade’, which you can listen to in its glorious entirety here:

Doves drummer, vocalist and co-songwriter, Andy Williams, says of ‘Renegade’: “Looking at everyone’s lives over recent years, and considering the news at the moment, ‘Renegade’ feels a lot more loaded in retrospect.

“We wanted to go for a dystopian feel, thinking about Manchester itself over the next century or so. A totally imaginary thing… ‘Blade Runner’ set in our home city.”

‘Constellations for the Lonely’ was written, recorded and produced by Doves between locations in Greater Manchester, North Wales and Cheshire with additional production from long-term collaborator, Dan Austin.

The album is available to pre-order here on a smorgasbord of formats, including standard and special edition vinyl, CD, cassette and digital.

They supported its release with a number of shows in 2019, however their planned 2022 tour was cancelled to prioritise frontman Jimi Goodwin's mental health..
