Pre-sale: Don McLean announces American Pie 50th anniversary UK tour
He plays 17 headline shows next year

Don McLean is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his second studio album ‘American Pie’ and the timeless single of the same name with a headline UK tour in autumn 2022.
The American Troubadour will be performing songs from his half-century recording career at the 17 headline shows next year.
Don McLean has had Top 20 singles worldwide with songs such as ‘American Pie’, ‘Vincent’, ‘Cryin’, ‘And I Love You So’, ‘Wonderful Baby’, ‘Since I Don’t Have You’, ‘It’s Just The Sun’ and ‘If We Try’, and artists including Madonna and Garth Brooks have covered his songs.
The American Pie 50th anniversary UK tour opens at Cardiff St David’s on Sunday 11th September 2022 and calls in at Ipswich, Birmingham, Bath, Torquay, Bournemouth, Brighton, Southend, Manchester, Gateshead, Glasgow, Edinburgh, York, Leicester, Sheffield and Liverpool before culminating at London Palladium on Tuesday 4th October 2022.

Don McLean is an inductee of the Grammy Hall Of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a recipient of a BBC Lifetime achievement award.
In August he was awarded the 2,700th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which can be found in front of The Pie Hole Bakery, between Hollywood and Vine.
