Coldplay reschedule Wembley Stadium gig due to Tube strike
The rest are going ahead as planned
Coldplay have been forced to reschedule one of their upcoming concerts at Wembley Stadium due to a planned Tube strike.
The affected show is the one scheduled for Friday 19 August 2022. This has now been rescheduled for Sunday 21 August 2022.
A statement on the band’s website explained: “We have been informed that there will be insufficient transport for ticket holders on August 19 so, with regret, the event cannot be licensed for that day.
“All tickets for Friday 19 August will remain valid for Sunday 21 August.”
It added that any ticket holders who are unable to attend the rescheduled show can get a full refund on their ticket and are requested to contact their point of purchase before 6pm on Wednesday 10 August 2022.
Any returned tickets will be put on general sale at 9.30am on Friday 12 August. The show had been sold out, so this may give some fans who couldn’t get tickets the first time round another go.

The rest of Coldplay’s five Wembley shows are set to go ahead as planned, despite planned rail strikes on 13 and 20 August that are not expected to affect the London Underground network.
The band’s statement advises ticket holders who are intending to travel by train on those days to check with their rail provider before setting off and allow extra time for journeys.
They add that gates will open for all shows at 5pm and the shows will end at 10.30pm.
After their Wembley gigs, the group will head to Glasgow, for two nights at Hampden Park on 23rd and 24th August.
The shows are part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, in support of their 2021 album ‘Music of the Spheres’.
