Coldplay reject dynamic pricing for 2025 UK tour

The first wave of tickets for Coldplay’s huge Hull and London shows have gone on sale this morning (26th September) and it’s emerged the band have opted out of dynamic pricing.
Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Guy Berryman play two shows at Hull Craven Park Stadium and six nights at London’s 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium next August in what will be their only European dates of 2025.
Pre-sale tickets went on sale today, and it’s been confirmed that Coldplay aren’t using controversial dynamic pricing for ‘in demand’ tickets for the trek.
Standing tickets for Coldplay’s shows cost £110.00 per ticket plus a £2.75 per order fee, while seats are priced between £55.00 - £165.00 per ticket plus a £2.75 per order fee. There are, however, more expensive VIP packages.
A statement on Ticketmaster’s website reads: ‘All ticket prices for these concerts are fixed at the advertised rate.’
Iron Maiden also opted out of dynamic pricing this week for their 50th anniversary UK tour in 2025.
Coldplay also confirmed last week they’re holding back a limited number of "super cheap" tickets for a second on-sale at midday on Friday 22nd November 2024.
The Infinity Tickets will only cost £20 and must be bought in pairs, and they’re randomly located anywhere in the venue - from the back row to the floor to the best seat in the house.
Although it’s not exactly new, dynamic pricing hit global headlines recently when it was used by Ticketmaster for Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour.
Many Oasis fans who had queued for hours during the 31st August on sale were flabbergasted when thousands of ‘in demand’ tickets more than doubled in price.
However, despite the widespread furore about inflated prices, the tour sold out. Liam Gallagher even told a person to “shut up” when Oasis were accused of “ripping off” their fans.”
Coldplay’s UK and European shows of the year will see them donate 10% of their proceeds to the Music Venue Trust, to help fund their vital work supporting grassroots UK venues and upcoming artists.
In a world first for a stadium show, Coldplay have also pledged to power the Wembley concerts’ production with 100% solar, wind and kinetic energy, collected at the venue and elsewhere in the UK, and delivered by a specially-designed electric battery system.
In addition, one of the satellite stages at each show will be fully powered by energy generated by the audience via kinetic flooring and power bikes.
General sale tickets to Coldplay’s August 2025 tour go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 27th September.

Brandon Flowers - October 2026
The Killers' singer Brandon Flowers will head on a solo UK and Ireland tour in October 2026, following the release of his third album 'Thrasher'. He'll perform in Bournemouth, London, Bristol, Nottingham, Manchester, York, Glasgow, Birmingham and Dublin from 14th-27th.

Levellers - October-November 2026
Levellers will tour the UK and Ireland in autumn 2026, visiting Huddersfield, Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, York, Llandudno, Blackpool, Nottingham, Bristol and London. The 'LTL35 Tour' will run from 20th October to 21st November and will see the band perform songs from their back catalogue, as well as chart hits from their 'Levelling The Land' album.

After opening for Oasis on their iconic reunion tour in 2025, and releasing their latest album 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' in January, the Liverpudlians will tour from 1st-24th October, visiting Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle, London and Liverpool.

Fontaines D.C. - November 2026 and June-July 2027
Fontaines D.C. will play six UK arena shows as part of their autumn/winter European tour in 2026. The UK leg will begin at Liverpool M&S Bank Arena on Friday 20th November, wrapping up in London on the 27th, after travelling through Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds and Birmingham. The tour will follow the release of their fifth album 'Dopamine Chamber' in October.
