Join Absolute Radio in taking a minute to applaud our NHS staff
We are taking part in the #ClapForOurCarers campaign at 8pm
Our NHS staff are heroes more than ever right now, due to the vast spread of the Coronavirus in the UK, so here at Absolute Radio we are taking a minute to applaud their amazing work, as part of the #ClapForOurCarers campaign.
Whether it's doctors, nurses, paramedics, carers or anybody else working in the NHS, these amazing people are working long and tireless hours to keep everybody safe, and now we want to show our appreciation.
The #ClapForOurCarers campaign will take place at 8pm on Thursday 26th March, with households across the UK urged to give a big applause from their front doors, gardens, windows or living rooms.
The poster for the inspiring campaign reads, 'During these unprecedented times they need to know that we are grateful.
'Please join us on: 26th March at 8pm for a big applause (from front doors, garden, balcony, windows, living rooms, etc) to show all nurses; doctors; gps and carers our appreciation for their ongoing hard work and fight against the virus.
'Please share this message, so we can make sure the word spreads and reaches all to join!'
People are also being urged to film the minute of applause, and later share across social media channels to lift the spirits of our brilliant NHS workers across the country.
