Catfish and the Bottlemen have been forced to cancel their upcoming gig on Clapham Common due to the Coronavirus. The gig, which was due to take place on Friday 15th May has been cancelled and not rescheduled, according to a statement on the band's Facebook page.

The band, made up of Van McCann, Benji Blakeway, Bob Hall and Johnny Bond, were set to take to the stage at the South London venue supported by Sports Team and Yonaka, and have explained that there was no other option.

It reads, 'It’s with great regret that we must announce that our planned gig on Clapham Common on Friday May 15th cannot go ahead due to the Corona virus pandemic. Everyone has been working hard behind the scenes to try and reschedule the show to a future date but unfortunately it has not been possible.

'The show is therefore cancelled and you will be contacted directly by your ticket agents within the next 14 days with information about your ticket and the refund process.'

Catfish and the Bottlemen are set to play at the Neighbourhood Weekender festival in Warrington, which was postponed from May 2020 until 5th and 6th September 2020, where they'll be playing in a line-up alongside Sam Fender, The Wombats and Ian Brown, amongst many others.

The band have also had to reschedule their gig at Swansea Singleton Park, which was set to take place in April but will now go ahead in September, with support from You Me At Six, Feeder and Yonaka.
