The first photo has been revealed of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming movie biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Deliver Me From Nowhere is a film adaptation of Warren Zanes’ fascinating telling of the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 'Nebraska' album.

The album was created after Bruce's 1981 'The River Tour', which was a pivotal time in his life, which he only opened up about decades after the album's release.

It was recorded by Bruce in his New Jersey bedroom on a four-track recorder, without The E Street Band, and included songs such as 'Atlantic City' and 'Open All Night'.

Deliver Me From Nowhere stars The Bear actor Jeremy Allen White as The Boss, and the first look has now been released, showing him in character.

The film is being directed by Scott Cooper, who has worked on Crazy Heart, Hostiles, and Antlers. He said of production starting: "Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey.

"Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska’ has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me. Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honouring Bruce’s legacy in a transformative cinematic experience.

"It has been a great pleasure to collaborate with Bruce and Jon (Landau) as I tell their story, and their creative energy fuels every part of this journey. As well, I’m excited to reunite with my friend, David Greenbaum (president, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios), as he embarks on his new role at Disney, adding another layer of inspiration to this project."

Just last Friday, Bruce Springsteen's Disney+ documentary was released on Disney+ and The Boss joined Simon Mayo for a chat. They talked about returning to the UK on tour, new music he's been working on and his reasons behind making the documentary.

A release date for Deliver Me From Nowhere has not yet been announced.
