Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, Blur, Paramore and blink-182 and are among the nominees for The BRIT Awards 2024.

The 44th BRIT Awards ceremony takes place at London’s The O2 on Saturday 2nd March and the nominations for all 15 categories were revealed this afternoon.

Thanks to their wildly successful ninth studio album ‘The Ballad of Darren’, Blur have picked up three nominations – Mastercard Album of the Year, Group of the Year and Alternative Rock Act.

Blur previously won BRIT Awards for Album of the Year (‘Parklife’), Single of the Year (‘Parklife’) and British Group in 1995, and British Video of the Year for ‘The Universal’ in 1996. They were also winners of the Outstanding Contribution to Music award in 2012.

The Rolling Stones have also been nominated for their first BRIT Award in a decade in the Alternative Rock Act category, with Bring Me The Horizon, Young Fathers, Yussef Dayes and the previously mentioned Blur also picking up nods.

Elsewhere, Foo Fighters, Paramore and blink-182 are all up for International Group of the Year, and Absolute Radio favourites The Last Dinner Party are the previously confirmed recipients of the BRITs Rising Star gong.

The Last Dinner Party

The Last Dinner Party were announced as the winners of the 2024 award after a stratospheric rise to fame. The five-piece from London started out only in 2020, giving their first performance in 2021 - so it's a pretty impressive trajectory.

They said of the win: "We are so proud beyond measure to have won the BRITs Rising Star. It's an honour to achieve something so iconic so early on in our career and we can only hope to keep making music that connects with all the incredible people who have listened to and supported us so far. Thank you!"

RAYE leads BRITs 2024 nominations and breaks record for most nods by a single artist in any one year – she’s up for seven awards including Artist of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year.

55% of the 2024 BRITs nominations feature women – either as a solo artist or as part of an all-woman group.
