Step aside, Noddy Holder

Blossoms are here to save Christmas 2020. Ok, maybe not, but the Stockport band have just released not one, but two brand new Christmas singles to get us in the festive spirit. After the year we've all had, a couple of Christmas songs might be just the ticket.

Taking to their Twitter account, Blossoms - made up of Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock - announced the new tracks entitled 'Christmas Eve (Soul Purpose)' and 'It’s Going To Be A Cold Winter'.

In true Christmas style, the band even featured a children's choir from their hometown, employing the voices of the Stockport Junior Voices - listen to the songs below.

Blossoms also drew fans' attentions back to a tweet they posted on 24th June this year, screenshotting the post which read, 'Just wrote a Christmas tune on the hottest day of the year,' along with that classic side-eye emoji.

It's been a busy week for Blossoms who have also announced a documentary, following a huge gig they played at Stockport County FC's ground Edgeley Park last year. It's called Back To Stockport and will be released on Amazon Prime on 8th November.

The five-piece haven't stopped this year, having released their third album 'Foolish Loving Spaces' early on in the year, as well as a double album recorded and released during the 2020 lockdown called 'In Isolation'.
