Biffy Clyro announce September/October 2020 UK arena tour
Mon the Biff!
Biffy Clyro have announced a major UK arena tour for September and October 2020 in support of their fervently awaited new album ‘A Celebration of Endings’.
The rock titans will kick off their trek with two concerts in their native Scotland at Aberdeen P&J Arena on Friday 25th September and Glasgow The SSE Hydro on Saturday 26th September.
Following this the trio play Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, Newcastle Utilita Arena and Birmingham Arena in the final week of September, before playing London The O2, Manchester Arena, Leeds First Direct Arena, Belfast SSE Arena, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena and Bournemouth BIC in early October.
Biffy Clyro UK tour tickets:
Tickets to Biffy Clyro’s UK arena tour go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 10am on Friday 20th March.
The tour announcement comes a week after Biffy Clyro unveiled full details of their eighth studio album ‘A Celebration of Endings’ and unleashed the blistering new song ‘End of’.
Following in the hallowed footsteps of the Absolute Radio playlisted anthem ‘Instant History’, ‘End Of’ is a delightfully heavy track that harks back to the abrasive sounds of Biffy Clyro in their embryonic days.
Released on Friday 15th May 2020 via 14th Floor Records, Biffy Clyro’s ‘A Celebration of Endings’ was produced by Rich Costey, who also helmed 2016’s ‘Ellipsis’, and it boasts 11 tracks.
Frontman Simon Neil says of the album: “This is a very forward-looking album from a personal perspective and a societal perspective.”
Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil, James Johnston and Ben Johnston officially launched our brand-new station Absolute Radio 20s last month and ‘Instant History’ was the very first song played on air.
