Biffy Clyro have announced that they will be postponing all of their upcoming 2020 tour dates, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Scottish rock trio, who are releasing their previously delayed ninth album 'A Celebration Of Endings' on the 14th August, have promised to rescheduled all of the shows to later dates.

The tour dates, which included shows in the UK, Ireland, Europe and Australia, were expected to run between September 2020 and January 2021.

In a statement shared on their social media, the ‘Many of Horror’ rockers explained how they had tried and failed to find alternate dates for the tour. They said, 'Unfortunately, we are postponing our UK/Eire, Europe and Australia tour dates due to COVID-19.

'We were hoping that we were going to be able to announce replacement shows, which is why we have waited so long to postpone them, but unfortunately with the current situation that has not been possible. We’ll have news for you and be out to see you as soon as we can. We love and miss you all, thanks for bearing with us – we’ll be back as soon as possible'

The band also confirmed that tickets will remain valid for their future tour dates, which are yet to be announced.

While the news of postponed tour dates will be disappointing for Biffy fans, the band are set to play at an unnamed iconic Glasgow venue for a special live stream performance to celebrate the launch of their new album on the 15th August.

During this performance, Biffy Clyro will be playing their brand-new LP in full whilst also using different set-ups throughout the venue, which the band says will "create a unique and truly special experience that reflects the musical journey of 'A Celebration Of Endings'."
