Biffy Clyro announce major festival headline slot
They will be replacing Queens of the Stone Age at Reading and Leeds Festival
The Scottish alternative rock act Biffy Clyro are due to take to the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this August bank holiday.
The news comes as Californian rockers Queens of the Stone Age were due to co-headline on the Friday and Sunday nights alongside Liam Gallagher, but have had to pull out due to ongoing Covid-19, logistical, and international travel restrictions.
This will be Biffy Clyro’s third time headlining the 105,000 capacity festival, after already performing on the slot in 2013 and 2016.
On the new announcement, Biffy Clyro state to fans that: “We cannot wait to get out there and play for you all again after such a tough year… it’s gonna f---!”
Among the announcement came a list of new additions to the line-up, including Inhaler, Holly Humberstone, Bakar, and Che Lingo. Also set to lead the festival throughout the weekend are Post Malone, Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Disclosure.
Despite Queens of the Stone Age’s cancellation, a number of other international acts remain on the bill from Fever 333, to Post Malone, to Madison Bear.

Biffy Clyro’s new headlining slot emerges after they debuted at Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart in 2020 with ‘A Celebration Of Endings’, the third consecutive studio album to top the charts for the band. The band have also confirmed that they have completed a whole new record during an interview at the BRIT Awards back in May, aiming for an October release.
