Live line-up announced for Absolute Radio's One Year Like This
A special show celebrating kindness and positivity
Last updated 19th Mar 2021
Tuesday 23rd March 2021 will mark one year since the start of the first coronavirus pandemic lockdown. In just days our entire way of life changed with working from home, schools closing and our emergency services helping to care for patients across the UK.
It has been a truly sad and emotional time for everyone, but the last year has shown the power of our resilience, it has brought communities together and shown how not all superheroes wear capes. From Captain Sir Tom Moore to community foodbanks, clap for carers to the baked potato song, from Joe Wicks workouts to Sunday walks, as a nation we’ve come together to support each other.
One Year Like This:
One Year Like This will be a very special programme on Absolute Radio. As well as telling the stories of the people who’ve helped to improve our lives in the last year, it will also showcase the power of music with new and exclusive live performances from some of our favourite artists.
We can now tell you that Maximo Park, Arlo Parks, Tom Grennan, Travis, Jake Bugg, Tom Odell, Texas & Amy MacDonald will all be chatting and playing live on Absolute Radio's One Year Like This. we'll also have a very special archive performance from Elbow.
Join Sarah Champion and Danielle Perry at 7pm on Tuesday 23rd March for One Year Like This, a celebration of kindness and the human spirit.
Absolute Radio will also be sharing this programme with BFBS and Hospital Broadcasting Association so that our armed forces around the world and patients in hospitals across the UK can also mark this moment.
