Stop cancer destroying teenage lives:

Cancer kills more teenagers and young adults in the UK than any other disease. And for those who survive, going through it without the right support can be devastating – physically and emotionally.

Today, and every day, seven young people will hear the words “you have cancer”.

There’s never been a worse time to receive that news, with healthcare services close to breaking point, waiting times increasing, and diagnosis taking longer.

Young people urgently need your help.

With your help today, Teenage Cancer Trust can fund specialist nurses and youth workers to be there for a young person when cancer has turned their world upside down.

Your gift will provide unique, tailored support that lets young people hold on to their identity, their independence and their dreams – so cancer doesn’t rob them of the best years of their life.

Donate today and change the future for young people with cancer.

Why this is a critical time for young people with cancer:

· Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. By 2030 that number will be closer to 10.

· More young people are getting cancer. Cancer rates in young people in the UK have gone up by a quarter since the early 1990s. And by 2030, it’s projected that the number of young people living with a cancer diagnosis will be 65% higher.

· Cancer hits young people hard. More teenagers and young adults in the UK die from cancer than any other disease. And for those who survive, going through it without the right support can cause lifelong physical and emotional damage.

· With healthcare services stretched, waiting times for cancer diagnosis and treatment are at an all-time high. These delays can compound the impact of cancer on young people’s physical and mental health. Getting the right support now is crucial to prevent a crisis for future generations.

· Life is already tough for young people. A cancer diagnosis can compound this. Research by The Prince’s Trust reveals almost half (46%) of young people in the UK report economic uncertainty makes them feel hopeless about the future and that their mental health is at an all-time low.
