Summer is almost here which can only mean one thing... festival season is back!
The Long Road Festival returns to Leicestershire's Stanford Hall from the 26th to 28th August 2022. Not only will there be over 40 artists playing over the weekend at the stately home's 700 acre grounds, you'll also find workshops, pop-up fun and some of the best food and drink around at The Long Road.
To help get us even MORE excited than we already are, Absolute Radio Country presenters are choosing their favourite artists on The Long Road line-up. Una Healy has chosen her top female acts at the festival. Solidarity, sister!
"Priscilla Block may have went viral on TikTok but she really has the talent as a hard working country singer/songwriter to back it up. I love how her lyrics are so honest, unfiltered and relatable. They convey open messages about self love and acceptance. She is a great role model."
"I love Lindsay Ell's cool, rock chick attitude and style. She is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen but she is also an amazing singer and songwriter. She is one very beautiful and talented lady."
"I love Chapel Hart, a fun family trio and their hit 'You Can Have Him Jolene' is a great introduction to their sound! They are representing black women in country music so incredibly well. They started out busking on the streets of New Orleans but they were surrounded by music both within the family (two sisters and a cousin) and at church. Their gospel influences also come across in their sound and hence the name 'Chapel Hart'."
Check out the line-up so far below. We'll see you at the Honky Tonk for an ice cold beer!
