Watch Sheryl Crow perform 'It Don't Hurt' from upcoming livestream concert
A taster of Sheryl Crow: The Songs & The Stories
Sheryl Crow has shared a stunning performance of ‘It Don’t Hurt’ from her upcoming livestream concert The Songs & The Stories.
Available to watch in the UK from 8pm on Friday 18th June 2021, Sheryl Crow: The Songs & The Stories will be filmed in multi-camera high-definition video at Sheryl Crow’s "little church” – a unique location that’s described as ‘a private meditative space on her Nashville property filled with antique Americana curiosities.’
Alongside performing some of her greatest hits and deep catalogue tracks, Sheryl will also be regaling the stories behind them.
Ahead of the livestream on Friday, Sheryl Crow has shared her performance of ‘It Don’t Hurt’ from her 1999 album ‘The Globe Sessions.’
Sheryl says of the track: “I wrote a song that was on my second record The Globe Sessions called ‘It Don’t Hurt’ and it was inspired by a relationship that went wrong with someone that I probably should not have been with in the first place.
“The song is a look at all the things that we do to convince ourselves that we’re over it. We say all these things that really don’t matter to us anymore and at the end you realise “If it doesn’t matter then why am I still talking about it?”
“The first time I ever performed it live was playing stompbox and harmonica - it just felt so awesome. It made me feel so strong being able and deliver it that way, with the history of that song behind it. I hope you love it!”
