Get to know the 'Bluebird' singer-songwriter
Miranda Lambert has made serious waves in the music industry since she burst onto the scene in the 2000s, but it was her third album 'Revolution' that really threw her into the spotlight.
With Grammys and ACM Awards to her name, Miranda certainly rocks the country world. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or you’ve just discovered her for the first time, read on to find out everything you need to know about Miranda Lambert.
Who is Miranda Lambert?
Miranda Lambert is an American country music singer and songwriter. As well as her solo career, she is a member of the Grammy-nominated band - Pistol Annies with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley.
How old is she?
Miranda Lambert is 42-years-old, born on 10th November 1983 to Rick and Beverley Lambert. She has one younger brother named Luke - and despite what everyone asks, Miranda is not related to Adam Lambert!
Where is she from?
The 'Settling Down' singer was born in Longview, Texas and raised in the small town of Lindale, about 90 miles east of Dallas.
How did Miranda Lambert get famous?
After finishing third on the talent competition Nashville Star in 2003, she impressed the show’s judge and Sony Music executive, Tracy Gershon, who signed her to Epic Records. Lambert later said she was glad she didn't win.
"The winner had to go in right after the contest and make a record in a couple of weeks, and I wasn't ready," she admits, since she was only 19 and had just started songwriting.
Which are her biggest hits?
Aside from the powerful ballad, 'The House That Built Me', Lambert has had no shortage of success. 'Heart Like Mine', the fifth and final single from 'Revolution', quickly became her second No. 1 hit.
As the daughter of two real-life detectives, Miranda didn’t have to look too far for artistic inspiration. 'Gunpowder and Lead' is a punchy track told from the perspective of a survivor threatening to put her abusive ex six feet under, this was the beginning of Miranda’s feisty side we all know and love. The song became her first Top 10 and her first Platinum-selling hit.
'Fooled Around and Fell In Love' is Miranda’s most adventurous collaboration to date. It won the Academy of Country Music Award for Musical Event of the Year. The Elvin Bishop cover features Maren Morris, Elle King, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes and Caylee Hammack, who were support acts on her 2019 'Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour'.
Always a champion of female artists in the genre, Miranda brought a heavyweight roster of female powerhouses along for the ride. “I’m so excited and honoured to be on tour with some of my favourite artists, who each inspire me in a different way,” she shared of the all-star tour roster.
“They are the next generation of fearless female artists and I’m so thrilled to share a stage with them.”

She was also nominated at the CMA Awards in 2025 for Female Vocalist of the Year, but lost out to Lainey Wilson. Miranda later took to the stage at the ceremony to perform 'A Song to Sing' with Chris Stapleton.
Other work: Television appearances and charity
Miranda Lambert is no one trick pony. She’s dabbled in the world of television with appearances on NBC's The Voice - where she starred as a mentor alongside her ex-husband Blake Shelton – and made an appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Miranda also sells MuttNation pet products through Tractor Supply Co. and donates the earnings to her organisation's adoption and rescue programmes. Miranda and her mum Bev started the animal charity MuttNation Foundation in 2009.

How much is Miranda Lambert worth?
Miranda Lambert is estimated to be worth a whopping $50 million, and currently resides in a $3.4 million home in Nashville, Tennessee, which includes three houses, two cabins, a lake, a boathouse, a barn, walking trails, and a pavilion for concerts.
Who is her best friend?
Fellow country singer and Pistol Annies bandmate Ashley Monroe likely holds that title. In fact, Blake Shelton officiated Ashley's own 2013 wedding to White Sox pitcher John Danks - with Miranda, of course, serving as maid of honour.
Speaking about Miranda, Ashley said: "I just look up to her so much. I've known her for 10 years and we've been best friends for almost 10 years, but I still watch her shows every night when I'm on tour with her and anytime I'm out on the road just hangin' out, I just watch her because she just blows me away. She's the real deal, for sure."
Another of Miranda's most notable friendships is with fellow musician Carrie Underwood. In 2014, Carrie featured on her country hit, 'Somethin’ Bad'. The track shot to Number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, becoming the first female duet to do so in over two decades.
In October 2019, when Carrie Underwood was nominated for CMA’s Entertainer of the Year - a coveted award that hadn’t had a female recipient since 2011 - Lambert praised Underwood in a heartfelt Instagram post. She wrote: 'The blond bombshell that is Carrie. She blows me away every time I hear her sing. She never wavers in who she is or what she stands for.'
Miranda Lambert's bar
Not only has Miranda Lambert achieved huge success as a singer, but she's also opened her own bar - becoming the first female country artist to have a bar on Nashville's Broadway!
Casa Rosa has had a number of famous faces make an appearance, including her husband Brendan who performed karaoke with her!
