Unbelievably it's been a massive seven years since 'GIRL' singer Maren Morris moved to the home of country music, Nashville. And she's celebrated the anniversary with a heartwarming post on Instagram, telling her fans '7 years ago today, I had short hair, some okay (alright, crap) demos in my pocket and moved into a Craigslist house sight unseen for $350 a month.
'I wrote with anyone + everyone who’d sit in a room with me. I got better, and I found my tribe of people I loved to create with and we’d geek out over The Cardigans and Sheryl Crow records.'
The singer continued, 'Looking at the gap between these photos, I actually do know where the time goes. It gets encapsulated in each fantastic, mundane, life-changing, soul-crushing, mediocre, hallelujah song in my catalogue. Cheers to 7 years, Nashville, and to the friends here I now am lucky to call family. 🙌🏼
Maren's fans have been quick to comment on the singer's post saying how much they love her. One fan said, 'I love your journey girl! 🖤 You’re killing it👏🏻 ', another said, 'You've come a long way! 😍🎤'.
'The Middle' singer has seen huge success since moving to Nashville, resulting in a number of successful songs including 'GIRL' which was nominated for several Country Music Awards. The album of the same name reached Number 1 in the UK Country charts.
In addition to all of her music success, Maren also announced that she was pregnant last year (2019). The country music star revealed to her fans in October, that she is expecting a little girl. 'The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the “GIRL” headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. 👶🏻', she said in a tweet, sharing a photo of her alongside her husband Ryan Hurd.
