Maren Morris shares emotional throwback video as she prepares for the CMA Awards

Maren Morris has had a very busy 2019, not only has she released her huge hit 'Girl' along with the album of the same name, Maren also announced she was pregnant with a cute post. Now, as we're just a day away from one of the biggest nights in country, Maren is getting ready to perform at the CMA Awards, held in Nashville on Wednesday night.

Maren will be performing her song 'Girl' as well as her debut performance as part of The Highwomen, who consist of Maren, along with Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires. Now, the country music star has taken to Facebook to share a throwback video from when she won a CMA award for New Artist of the Year in 2016.

In the video shared by Maren she can be seen accepting her award and as she tries to hold back tears. Telling the audience, "Yall! I can't win this award right after performing, I'm going to fall apart. I'm sorry!"

The 'I Could Use a Love Song' singer went on to say how it was "crazy" because the year before she watched the prestigious show from a "bar across the road".

This year, Maren is up for a massive six nominations, including Album Of The Year for her album 'Girl', along with Single, Song, and Music Video Of The Year, also for her song 'Girl', featured on the album of the same name.

The 29-year-old singer will also be performing on the night along with a whole host of country music stars, including Dolly Parton. Maren will be opening the show with a groundbreaking all female collaboration which will be led by Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton, featuring Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, The Highwomen (Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires), Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker and Gretchen Wilson.

The CMA Awards will take place on 13th November at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. It's a night not to be missed!
