Maren Morris is one of the biggest country artists around right now, thanks to the success of her super popular hits including 'The Middle' and 'The Bones'. Her third album 'Humble Quest' was released in March 2022 and saw her go from strength to strength.

As she sets off on tour, we've taken a look at everything you need to know about her to help you get to know Maren a little better - from her career beginnings to her latest success.

Where is Maren Morris from?

American Maren Morris was born in Arlington, Texas - a true southern country girl! She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2010 but is now based in Nashville, Tennessee.

When was she born?

The singer was born on 10th April 1990, making her currently 34-years-old.

Is Maren Morris pregnant?

Not anymore! Maren Morris was pregnant, but she's now had a little boy named Hayes Andrew, who was born back in 2020. She announced the lovely news at the time saying: '30 hours of labor ended with an emergency c-section... not what we planned but I learned pretty quickly that night that having a plan for bringing a human into the world is a fool’s errand. All that mattered was that he got here safely.' (sic)

Back in October 2019, Maren announced that she and her then-husband Ryan Hurd were expecting their first baby, a little boy, so the singer, who released an album called 'GIRL' a year prior said: 'The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the “GIRL” headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one. 👶🏻'.

How did she become famous?

It all began when Maren Morris was gifted a guitar at the age of 12. She began singing in local clubs and eventually released her own independent album at the age of just 15. She then released five songs on her self titled EP in August 2015, where lead single 'My Church' gained 2.5 million streams on Spotify in a month.

The massive and sudden success of Maren Morris' EP attracted the interest of major labels. She was signed to Sony Music Nashville in September 2015.

Has Maren Morris been on any TV shows?

Yes, Maren Morris appeared on three talent shows, American Idol, The Voice, and America’s Got Talent, however she was rejected! That didn't stop her becoming very successful though.

How many albums has she released?

Maren Morris has now released three studio albums, her album 'Hero' was released on 3rd June 2016, 'GIRL' dropped on 8th March 2019 and 'Humble Quest was released on 25th March 2022. Her debut 'Hero' reached Number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart and Number 1 on the Top Country Albums chart. Likewise, 'GIRL' debuted at Number 4 on the US Billboard 200, showing Maren Morris to be a country superstar.

In March 2022, Maren released her third studio album ‘Humble Quest’, which included the singles ‘Circles Around This Town’ and ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’. The album was nominated for Best Country Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards, whilst ‘Circles Around This Town’ was nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

'Humble Quest' reached Number 3 on the UK Country Albums Chart and Number 2 on the US Top Country Albums chart.

Then, in 2023, Maren released a two-song EP called 'The Bridge'. This was the fourth EP Maren has released, following 'Maren Morris' (2015), 'Maren Morris: Reimagined' (2019) and 'Maren Morris Live From Chicago' (2020).

Has Maren Morris won any GRAMMYs?

Yes, Maren Morris has won a GRAMMY! The country singer earned four GRAMMY Award nominations at the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards for her album 'Hero'. The album was nominated for Best Country Album, but it was single 'My Church' that won Best Country Solo Performance.

Does Maren Morris write her own songs?

Maren Morris is a singer-songwriter, writing all her own songs as well as writing for other artists. The talented singer has penned songs for Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson and Brothers Osbourne.

What are Maren Morris' most popular songs?

When it comes to country music Maren has had a lot of success. She achieved a US Number 1 in the country chart of her single 'The Bones' and her debut song 'My Church' reached Number 5. Meanwhile, she also had success with 'I Could Use a Love Song' in 2017, 'Rich' in 2018 and 'Girl' in 2019.

Away from country music, 'The Middle' is one of Maren's most popular songs. It was a collab with the DJ Zedd and Grey. The song was popular in the pop charts, rather than the country music charts, but was successful in a number of countries.

Is Maren Morris going on tour?

She certainly is! Maren is setting off on her 'RSVP Redux' tour in May, starting out in San Francisco on 29th May, performing through the USA throughout the summer and drawing to a close in Hampton in September 2024.

Maren previously performed on her 'Humble Quest' tour, which was in support of the album of the same name and saw her perform an array of US dates in 2022. Then in 2023, Maren performed a one-off show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London as well as supporting The Chicks at their shows in Europe and Canada.

Here You Come Again (musical)

Featuring hits such as 'Jolene' and 'Islands In The Stream', the musical is touring the UK this year, and you can catch it in locations such as Birmingham, Sheffield, London, Glasgow, Norwich, Cheltenham, Woking, Salford, Bath, Milton Keynes, Blackpool and Liverpool - with dates running from now, all the way up to 7th December 2024. It is expected the musical will even continue into 2025, however these dates are yet to be confirmed.

Elles Bailey

Elles Bailey - a favourite on Absolute Radio Country's 'The Front Porch' with Baylen Leonard - is heading on her biggest headline tour to date this Autumn, spanning 16 shows across the UK! The epic shows are seeing the genre-splicing roots singer perform songs from her new album 'Beneath The Neon Glow', having started in Lincoln Wednesday 25th September 2024. The tour is now taking in shows in range of cities, including Cambridge, Bristol, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Wolverhampton, with the run ending in Leeds on Sunday 1st December.

Brothers Osborne - 2025

Kicking off 2025 strong will be country rock duo Brothers Osborne, who are lined up to be heading to the UK & Ireland in January. The duo will be bringing us nine dates as part of their 'Might As Well Be Us World Tour', with John and TJ Osborne playing shows in Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and London in January 2025, from Friday 17th - Thursday 30th January, with support coming from Tyler Braden.

Corey Kent

Rising country star Corey Kent is scheduled to captivate UK audiences in February 2025! Bringing his 'The Black Bandana Tour' across the pond, with his powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Corey is set to perform in in cities like Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and London, from 2nd - 11th February 2025.

Carly Pearce - 2025

The incredible Carly Pearce will be gracing the UK with tour dates in 2025! The singer's 'hummingbird' tour will be heading around the UK & Ireland throughout February 2025, beginning in London on 19th, before visiting Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast, before culminating in Dublin on 28th. The tour supports Carly's fourth studio album, 'Hummingbird', which she released in June 2024.

Country To Country 2025

Taking place at London's The O2, Glasgow OVO Hydro and Belfast SSE Arena on the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 26th March 2025, the world-renowned Country To Country Festival returns! The blockbuster line-up has been revealed for next year's country bonanza, with Lainey Wilson, Dierks Bentley and Cody Johnson serving as the headline acts. Morgan Wade - 2025

The spectacular Morgan Wade will be heading to the UK & Ireland in 2025, as part of 'The Obsessed Tour' - which will also see her perform around Europe. Playing four huge shows throughout the UK & Ireland, the 'Time to Love, Time to Kill' singer will be performing her largest UK headline show to date at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London on 25th March 2025, before calling at Manchester's Albert Hall on 26th, Whelan's in Dublin on 27th, then finishing at the O2 Academy Glasgow on 30th.

Scotty McCreery - 2025

'Fall of Summer' star Scotty McCreery delighted fans with the news that he is returning to the UK with tour dates! You can catch the country star live in concert in May 2025, with dates starting in Belfast on 23rd May. Scotty will then travel through Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester, before ending the run in London on 30th!
