Kelsea Ballerini has taken to Instagram to share some encouraging comments to a young fan who wrote to the 'Homecoming Queen' singer, revealing she has been bullied at school. The school girl, known as Ellie is 12-years-old and wrote in her handwritten letter that she had just started middle school, but it had been 'really hard'.
Explaining how listening to Kelsea's songs had 'changed her world', the young girl wanted to say thank you to the singer, 'for having a voice that helps mend my troubles'.
Kelsea responded to the letter in a heartfelt caption which read, 'Hey Ellie from Colorado. I couldn’t find your address to write you back, so I thought I’d respond on here.'
The 'Club' singer sympathised with Ellie saying, 'Middle school was really hard for me too. It’s a time when everyone is starting to discover who they are, it’s awkward and emotional, and unfortunately the way some people feel like they have it together is by tearing other people apart. Try your best to breathe through it and let it roll off of you, and please please remember that it’s not your weight to carry. It will make you stronger and full of grace. I also promise that middle school will be over before you know it. Hang in there, my little homecoming queen. Sending you so much love and light. PS- go try out!!! You have my vote. 💗👑'
Since posting her response to Ellie's letter, Kelsea's fans and and celebrities have left comments praising her reply. One fan commented, 'your such a good person i love you <3 sic, with another saying, 'this is the sweetest thing. thanks for being such a great role model for us 💗 love you kels' sic
This beautiful message to a young fan comes just a week after Kelsea revealed her New Year's resolutions to her fans, telling them she wants to 'travel to new places. play more music'.
