As the Australian bushfires ravage the country from all sides, celebrities around the world have been pledging money to help the firefighters, and one celebrity couple who have been involved include Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.

Speaking to 10 News First reporter Angela Bishop, Australian actress Nicole Kidman revealed the couple were donating a massive $500,000 'to volunteer firefighters around the country.'

Husband Keith later confirmed the couple's donation telling his fans on Twitter, 'Our family’s support, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now. - KU'.

Other singers and celebrities who have donated to the fund include, P!NK and Kylie Minogue, who have both donated large sums of money. Kylie recently took to Instagram to tell her fans that the Minogue family had donated $500,000 'towards the immediate firefighting efforts and the ongoing support which will be required.'

The bushfires have devastated much of Australia over the last few months, in the country that has suffered from a drought for a number of years. The effects of the fires are now visible in New Zealand, as the smoke has been blown across the Tasman Sea.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the fires in Australia.
