Country music icon Keith Urban joined Baylen Leonard on Absolute Radio Country, to talk about his brand new album 'Graffiti U'. His tenth studio album dropped last month featuring, 'Drop Top', which you can hear on Absolute Radio Country.
Hot on the heels of Eurovision, Baylen just had to ask if Keith would follow in the footsteps of Madonna and Justin Timberlake and his answer was yes. The 'Wasted Time' singer went on to say, "I'd do it in a heartbeat," because the TV show has a massive audience.
During the interview, Keith also told us how 'Drop Top' came about, he said, "It wasn't intentional. One of the writers on it with me, is a girl called Mozella, who's a great songwriter. When we got to the chorus of this song, Mozella had this great melody, but it was crazy high!"
He went on to explain how they chatted about changing the key of the song, but ultimately decided on making the song a duet! Once the story of the song was finalised, Keith decided on Kassi Ashton to sing on his track.
When asked if he had come across Kassi before her name was mentioned, Keith said, "No, nothing at all! It turns out we're on the same label, but I had never heard her music."
