Country star Kane Brown has started his own record label in a joint project with Sony Music Nashville.
The label, 1021 Entertainment, is the latest venture for the 27-year-old singer-songwriter who in 2017 became the first artist to have simultaneous number one records on all five Billboard country charts.
It has also been announced that 1021 Entertainment's first signing is Nashville-based trio Restless Road.
The band previously joined Brown on his Worldwide Beautiful Tour as well as him appearing on the group’s single ‘Take Me Home’.
The trio, Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Andrew Scholz, met at auditions for The X Factor in 2013, where Brown also performed in front of the judges.
After Beeken and Pack were eliminated, head judge Simon Cowell teamed them up together with singer Scholz to form Restless Road. They finished fourth in the series before vocalist Garrett Nicholas later replaced Scholz.
Restless Road’s debut single ‘Took One Look at Her Momma’ arrived this week.
