Jennie Longdon is on 4pm - 8pm Saturdays and 9am - 12pm Sundays playing the best country songs from across the decades to the best of today.

Name three of your all-time top 10 songs

Eagles – 'One of These Nights'

Chris Stapleton – 'Parachute'

Lynyrd Skynyrd – 'Simple Man'

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Elvis Presley – 'Suspicious Minds'

Do you have any rituals which you must do before you start a show?

Drink at least three cups of black coffee.

How tall are you?

5ft 2...and a half. The half is important.

What’s your most treasured possession?

My dad’s old record player. It's massive and not too pretty to look at, but still sounds amazing.

I love country because...

It’s the most honest genre of music. It’s real, and heartfelt. Every song tells a story. And it’s got me through every single one of my break ups! (Special shout outs to Carrie Underwood and Sheryl Crow).

The song that got me into country...

Johnny Cash – 'Walk The Line'. My dad would play it on repeat every weekend when he was cleaning the house.

New country artists I’m really excited about.

Ashley McBryde. Her voice gives me chills, and she’s a tattooed, bourbon-drinking woman. I can relate a lot to her.

Dillon Carmichael. One of his big influences is one of my all-time favourite bands, Lynyrd Skynyrd. He also has a mighty impressive head of hair!

The artist I’ll always come back to is...

Don Henley. His voice is my absolute favourite. I listen to the Eagles whenever I’m traveling, so that music reminds me of great times. And his song 'End of the Innocence' gets me every time!

Best songs for a long drive?

Anything by Carrie Underwood! So good for car karaoke!
