If there are two things Country Music fans in the UK love, it’s new music and live music from their favourite artists, and Hardy is giving us both, well kind of.

On Friday 20 January 2023, Hardy released his sophomore album ‘the mockingbird & THE CROW’ which combines Country and heavy Rock – but more on that in a minute.

Absolute Radio Country’s Baylen Leonard asked Hardy the all-important question, when can we expect to see Hardy back in the UK?

His response: “Gosh… I hope in 2024. I know Morgan’s going over there but I’m going to be on my own tour when he’s over.”

Wait… we can only presume the ‘Morgan’ Hardy’s referring to is his good friend Morgan Wallen. Not only does he feature on Hardy’s new album, but he has co-written a number of songs with Wallen including: ‘More Than My Hometown’ and ‘Sand In My Boots’.

To add to this, Morgan Wallen already plans to tour the U.S.A., Australia and Canada this year. Now thanks to Hardy, this hopefully means the UK will be added to that list of dates.

As for Hardy and his plans to come to the UK he went on to say: “I want to come. It’s going to happen in 2024, I’ll make a promise to you.”

Hardy’s new album ‘the mockingbird & THE CROW’ is another epic delivery of 17 songs with half of the album being Country and the other half, heavy Rock.

“Half of the record of is my Country grain and half is my Rock baby” said the ACM Award winner.

“But what I will say is the Rock songs still have a very Country lyric and that is something I think I will always do… but the sound of it definitely has a Rock and Roll side of things.”

‘Wait In The Truck’ was chosen as the lead single from Hardy’s sophomore album and features Lainey Wilson.

“When we came to cut the record, we threw names out for sure, but Lainey is that person, Lainey is that girl.”

Hardy goes on to say: “She becomes that person in the song and she’s so believable. I always thought and knew, if you deliver a vocal that’s believable, that’s what’s going to make someone feel something while listening to the song.

I just always knew when Lainey sang it, people would believe it and would affect people more in a positive way... It was just always her.”

Hardy’s new album ‘the mockingbird & THE CROW’ is available now, and ‘Wait In The Truck’ features on the Absolute Radio Country playlist
