At the beginning of April, Dolly launched a 10-week series which will focus on, 'comforting and reassuring children during the shelter-in-place mandates.'

Writing in a blog post Dolly explained, "This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, but the timing never felt quite right.

"I think it is pretty clear that now is the time to share a story and to share some love. It is an honor for me to share the incredible talent of these authors and illustrators. They make us smile, they make us laugh and they make us think." (sic)

Over the coming weeks, Dolly will be reading select books from her Imagination Library which she launched 25 years ago.

The organisation gifts books to an estimated 1.5 million children each month and according to the UK website, 'Each month, enrolled children receive a high quality, age appropriate book in the post, free of charge. Children receive books from birth to age five.'
