Just days ahead of our Dolly Parton Christmas Special, the country icon has appeared on This Morning speaking to Alison Hammond, revealing why she won't be running for President, and what it's like having Miley Cyrus as a 'wild' goddaughter!
It was only last week that former US President Barack Obama admitted it was a screw-up, not awarding Dolly the Medal of Freedom while he was in office, telling CBS' The Late Show host Stephen Colbert, "She deserves one. I'll call Biden."
Now, Dolly has opened up as to why she wouldn't run for President laughing, "Dolly wouldn’t run for President. We have had enough boobs in the White House here!"
However, she did reveal that if she wasn't a singer she could see herself as a beautician, admitting she would dye her own hair!
The singer, whose new album 'Holly Dolly Christmas' is out now, told Alison, "I thought this is a good time to talk about Christmas and talk about what Christmas really is, as I’m sure you know I got to sing with a lot of wonderful duet partners."
Revealing that although her album includes a duet with the King of Christmas, Michael Bublé, the pair didn't actually meet, "He is a precious, precious person but unfortunately I did not get to work with him in person. He was singing from his studio and I was singing from mine. He said he had been a fan of mine for years and I was really, really excited about that," she explained.
Michael isn't the only famous person to appear on her album, Dolly also asked her goddaughter Miley Cyrus to appear on 'Christmas Is', which is a song she wrote for the record explaining, "Loved doing that with her."
When asked about Miley's covers of Dolly's songs, Dolly revealed that she would love to do her own version of Miley's song 'Wrecking Ball' going on to say, "She is special to me, she is a wild one.
"I love the wild ones because I kind of have a wild streak of my own."
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
