Dolly Parton shares details about unheard song that won't be released for decades
She buried it in a time capsule!

We all know and love many of Dolly Parton's amazing songs such as '9 to 5', 'Jolene' and 'Islands in the Stream' with Kenny Rogers, but did you know she's actually written a song that no one will be able to hear until 2045?
The country legend confirmed in a recent interview with singer and TV host Kelly Clarkson, that she's buried a future hit in a time capsule! Dolly said the song drove her crazy: "Because I have written a song that nobody is going to hear until I'm 99-years-old and I might be there, I might not be."
Dolly went on to explain it was buried in a time capsule when they were building her Dollywood theme park back in 2015. Along with the song, items from the time such as a cassette player and CD player were buried.
"I tell you, you have no idea how that has bothered me," she told Kelly, continuing: "I want to go dig that up so bad and think, well I need to use that song 'cause it's like, you know, it's a really good song!"
Dolly then explained how she thinks that the song might disintegrate, so there might be a song that no one will ever hear!
Meanwhile, Dolly is set to release a rock album, moving away from her country roots, a decision prompted by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Revealing the name of the album is 'Rock Star', Dolly told Jimmy Fallon on his talk show: "I’m a rock star now. When they said they wanted to put me in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, I always thought that was for people that spent their whole life working to be in rock ’n’ roll.
"You know, you don’t see Led Zeppelin in the Country Music Hall Of Fame – although they could! But anyway, I found out it was more than that. So when I realised what it was, I said, ‘If they put me in anyway, I would certainly accept it gracefully’ – which I did."
She continued: "I'm making an album because I have to live up to all that hype. I even wrote a song about it (‘Rockin'') to kind of tell the story about it. But anyway, I’m very honoured and very proud. I’m good about timing. I’d always thought I might want to do a rock record – because my husband is a rock ’n’ roll freak – so I thought, ‘Well, if I’m ever gonna do it, now’s the time!’"
'Rock Star' is set for release in late 2023.
