Dolly Parton announces Netflix Original Christmas musical 🎶

As we near the end of September, some people are actively trying to avoid any mention of Christmas, however, country music legend Dolly Parton has just got us feeling all festive, with the announcement of a Netflix Original musical called Christmas On The Square.
Not much is known about this new title, however Dolly revealed in a tweet that it would be released on 22nd November to the streaming platform and available in the UK. The film will star Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis and be directed by Debbie Allen. The singer also shared the artwork for the new film.
Since posting the exciting news, fans have been replying to Dolly's tweet saying, 'I am so excited for this. I wish the rona would go away. I need a Dolly concert asap', and 'Can’t wait'.
Directed Debbie Allen is know for playing the role of Dr. Catherine Avery Fox on Grey's Anatomy, and directing All of Us.
According to Deadline.com, Christmas on the Square will feature 14 original songs by Dolly and other cast members include Josh Segarra, Mary Lane Haskell, Matthew Johnson and Selah Kimbro Jones.
Dolly's announcement comes just a few weeks after she confirmed she would be releasing a Christmas album called 'A Holly Dolly Christmas', which also features a song called 'Christmas On The Square'. 'A Holly Dolly Christmas' is available to pre-order now and will be released on 2nd October 2020.
