Huge collab from Dolly Parton, Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry and more released with music video
It's the theme tune for an upcoming film
Earlier this month, several big names in music, including Dolly Parton, Debbie Harry and Cyndi Lauper were announced for a new song, which will feature in the upcoming film 80 For Brady. The song also features Belinda Carlisle and Gloria Estefan and after teasing the track for a couple of weeks, it has now been released.
The song 'Gonna Be You', has been written by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren. The film follows four best friends who go on a trip to see Tom Brady play in the 2017 Super Bowl, and Diane explained how it inspired the song: "When I wrote ‘Gonna Be You’ for 80 for Brady, I wanted to write a song that celebrated these women’s deep friendship."

How was the song announced?
Details of the new release were announced by Belinda Carlisle, who shared the news on Instagram tagging in her collaborators writing: 'Yassssssssss!!!!!! What an honor to sing with @dollyparton @cyndilauper @gloriaestefan and DEBBIE HARRY! This secret has been hard to keep….. coming out January 20- the theme song for @80forbrady 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉written by @dianewarren ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ '. (sic)
Diane replied to the post saying: '🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️'. Fans also couldn't contain their excitement at the news with one writing: 'Wow that's amazing ! Congrats you. Deserve it!', and another saying: 'Wow! Legends in music singing for legends in film!'.
In a separate post, 'Rhythm Is Gonna Get You' singer, Gloria Estefan shared the details of the song writing: 'So excited to be a part of this song with these incredibly beautiful and talented women!!! @80forbrady'.
When was 'Gonna Be You' be released?
The song was released on 20th January, just two weeks before the film that it features in, starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field, along with seven-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady.
When is 80 For Brady out?
The film will be released in cinemas on 3rd February 2023.
Dolly Parton's new music
This isn't the only new music Dolly Parton has been working on, as she also teamed up with Dionne Warwick for a new song called 'Peace Like A River'. Appearing on The Tamron Hall Show, Dionne shared details about the song which she was "very excited about".
The country legend is also working on a rock and roll album called 'Rock Star', featuring collaborations with Cher and Paul McCartney. She even released a new track called 'Don’t Make Me Have to Come Down There' for her 77th birthday on 19th January.
