Dan + Shay, Carrie Underwood and more country artists pick up Billboard Music Awards

It was a big night for country music artists last night (1st May), with Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Luke Combs and Kenny Chesney, all picking up major awards at the Billboard Music Awards. The annual awards ceremony saw artists from all genres of music, arrive at the MGM Garden Arena Las Vegas, for a night of entertainment.
On the night, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood picked up the award for Top Country Female Artist, with Top Country Album going to Luke Combs for 'This One’s For You'. The audience at the Billboards were also treated to a live performance by the amazing Dan + Shay, who also picked the award for Top Country Duo/Group. And the award for Top Country Tour was given to Kenny Chesney.
Country singer Maren Morris also picked up an award with Zedd and Grey for their hit 'The Middle', which won Top Dance/Electronic Song.
As well as performing and picking up an award, Dan + Shay were also special guests at Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's surprise wedding, performing their hit 'Speechless' as Sophie walked the aisle in a spectacular wedding dress.
In true Vegas style, Joe and Sophie's ceremony was conducted by an Elvis impersonator, at the iconic A Little White Wedding Chapel, which is where other celebrities including Britney Spears, Bruce Willis and Eva Longoria have all tied the knot.
