CMA Awards set to open with a groundbreaking all female collaboration

This year's CMA Awards will be taking place on 13th November and its opening performance will go down in history as a groundbreaking all female collaboration. The collab will be led by Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton, featuring Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, The Highwomen (Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires), Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker and Gretchen Wilson.
This year's awards is the 53rd CMAs, and according to the Country Music Association, this historic performance will include iconic country songs, 'A monumental decades-spanning medley never before seen.'
In addition to the opening medley performance, there will also be an additional performance from Kelsea Ballerini, with Lindsay Ell, Maddie & Tae, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce and Runaway June.
It's a night not to be missed by country music fans!
These newly announced collaborations come just a couple of weeks after more HUGE names were added to the initial CMA Awards line-up. Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn with Brothers Osborne, Garth Brooks with Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay, Kacey Musgraves with Willie Nelson, Lady Antebellum and Halsey, Old Dominion, Blake Shelton, and Thomas Rhett were all added to the line-up at the end of October, with Dan + Shay set to take to the stage to perform their CMA nominated hit 'Speechless'.
The CMA Awards will take place on 13th November at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
