New TV drama in the works based on Blake Shelton's 'God's Country'

Blake Shelton's song 'God's Country' has been incredibly popular, even getting to Number 1 in the US, however now it's been revealed that a new TV drama based on the song is in the works!
Country music songs are well-known to have a strong storytelling element to them, and according to Deadline, the scripted drama follows a family on a midwest farm.
When the father of the family dies under mysterious circumstances, his grown children find out a devastating secret that he'd been keeping.
Not much else is known about the new series as yet, however it does have Gary Scott Thompson working with Blake on the project. Gary Scott is known for his work on Fast and Furious, as well as creating the NBC series Las Vegas.
The Voice coach recently won Single of The Year at the ACM Awards, for his popular track 'God's Country' as well as being nominated for three other awards including, Song of the Year, Video of the Year and Music Event of the Year.

The song has also now been nominated for Top Selling Song and Top Country Song at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. Taking to Twitter, Blake told his fans, 'Thanks y’all for these 2020 @BBMAs nominations! So honored! Tune-in to the show, October 14th at 8/7c on @NBC . #BBMAs.' (sic)
