Lainey Wilson takes home the most awards

The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards took place on Thursday 11 May in Frisco, Texas.
Hosted by Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, the ACM’s celebrates the best in Country Music from the biggest stars to rising artists.
Lainey Wilson took home the most awards on the night winning Female Artist of The Year and Album of The Year for ‘Bell Bottom Country’. Her collaboration with Hardy for “Wait In The Truck” also won Visual Media of The Year and Music Even of The Year.
Chris Stapleton was crowned Entertainer of The Year, a strong category which included Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Luke combs, Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean and Kane Brown.

The awards were only half of the show with the likes of Jelly Roll, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert all taking to the stage to perform. Ed Sheeran also made a surprise appearance to duet with Luke Combs, performing Sheeran’s new song “Life Goes On”
Co-host and newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dolly Parton, closed the show with a world exclusive performance of her song “World on Fire”, the first release from her upcoming rock album “Rockstar”.
Speaking to Absolute Radio Country’s Jennie Longdon, the Queen of Country said: “this is a song to try and knock a little sense into our hearts and heads, it’s about what we can do to come together a little more, care a little more about each together and make this world a better place…”
