Beyoncé wins Album of The Year & Best Country Album

Beyonce, Kacey Musgraves and more were honoured at the 2025 Grammy Awards

Chris Stapleton took home Best Country Solo Performance for “It Takes A Woman” which was taken from his 2023 album ‘Higher’.

Best Country Song which recognises songwriting went to Kacey Musgraves, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne for “The Architect” – taken from Kacey’s latest album ‘Deeper Well’.

It was Beyoncé who took home the most awards in the Country category, making history as the first black female artist to win Best Country Album.

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer devoted the award to Country pioneer Linda Martell who was the first black female Country artist to perform at the Grand Ole Opry.

‘Cowboy Carter’ also went on to win the coveted Album of The Year.

During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé said: I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists, I just want people to do want they are passionate about.“

Beyoncé also took home Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Miley Cyrus on ‘II Most Wanted’.

When were the 2025 Grammy Awards?

The Grammys will took place one week before the Super Bowl – on Sunday 2nd February 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
