Who was the first band that got you into music?
Claire told us: "Growing up in the Wiltshire countryside it was the alternative bands of the 80s that really struck a chord with me. Shunning the shiny and wholesome sounding popstars, I was drawn to the noise, discord and angst of bands like Joy Division, The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen, Siouxsie & The Banshees... and most of all, The Cure!"
What is your most memorable gig?
"Nirvana at the Kilburn National Ballroom in 1991."
Who's the best guest you've had on the show and why?
"The one I think about the most, and the person I’m so thankful I got to spend a short time with, is Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters. He stopped by to talk about his solo album in 2019.
"He arrived with his wife (who soon left to go shopping around Soho) and for an hour we talked and laughed about life and music. He was a dream guest – relaxed, friendly and happy to chat. I miss him."

What can we expect from your show on Absolute Radio?
"A nostalgia-fest on a Friday night, like a giant 80s comfort blanket! On a Saturday night all your favourite rock anthems. And with the Sunday Request Show just great music and good vibes. "
Which song could be your exception to the No Repeat Guarantee?
"I’d be happy to hear Stevie Nicks ‘Edge Of Seventeen’ on repeat!"

Which Absolute decade is your go-to?
"The 90s. Best decade ever!"

What’s been your biggest highlight from your time at Absolute Radio?
"Sounds cheesy, but I’ve made the best friends here. It’s a daily highlight to work with people you genuinely care about. I’m also really proud of the work we do for Mental Health Awareness week, and the campaign we launched to tackle period poverty with our charity Cash For Kids."
What is your favourite thing about presenting?
"Building a connection with listeners. I’m a guest in people’s lives – in their home, car, workplace or headphones. The best compliment is when listeners tell me I’ve been a reassuring voice at a particularly tricky time in their life. It’s a responsibility I take seriously."
